UMHB Volleyball Just Outside Top 25 in AVCA Poll

Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor volleyball team continues its climb toward the top 25 in the nation in this week’s American Volleyball Coaches Association’s Top 25 Poll. The Cru received votes totaling 51 points in this week’s AVCA Poll to post the highest poll point total in the NCAA Division III era of UMHB volleyball.  The Cru has the 27th highest point total in the country. Calvin College is ranked #1 with 48 first-place votes and 1,200 total points. The Cru is the only American Southwest Conference program mentioned in the poll. 23rd-ranked Trinity University (159 points), Southwestern University (34 points) and Chapman University (19 points) are also ranked or receiving votes in the poll and UMHB posted wins over all three of those programs earlier this season.

The Cru volleyball team is currently 16-2 on the season and 5-0 in American Southwest Conference play after sweeping three matches last weekend in Alpine. UMHB will return to action with four ASC matches in Marshall this Friday and Saturday.
