COPPERAS COVE, TX – Manny Harris continues to amaze during his first varsity season for Copperas Cove. The junior quarterback threw 7 touchdown passes and ran in for another score to lead the Bulldawgs (3-2, 1-1 District 8-5A) to a 63-41 win over Shoemaker at Bulldawg Stadium on Friday night.

“Manny is a talent. There is no doubt about it,” said Copperas Cove head coach Jack Welch. “He’s throwing the ball well, he’s threading the needle, guys are catching the football, and the offensive line is giving him protection.”

Harris threw a touchdown pass to four different receivers, with his favorite target for the night, senior wide receiver Philip Baptiste, catching 12 passes for 185 yards and 4 touchdowns.  Senior wide receivers Derrick Giles and Hunter McVeigh along with junior wide reciever Derris Prater each had a touchdown reception for the Bulldawgs.

Shoemaker quarterback Ziere Banner was the offense for the Grey Wolves on Friday night, throwing for 374 yards on 23 of 43 passing with 4 touchdowns and 54 rushing yards on 29 carries and another score.
