Grandview quarterback Zach Smith becomes the first commit of 2016 for Baylor football, ESPN Central Texas reports.
Craig Smoak, host of “Unnecessary Roughness” on ESPN Central Texas, tweeted the news on Sunday.

The 6-foot-4 signal caller becomes the third quarterback in four years to start off the recruiting class for Baylor. Temple quarterback Chad President was the first commit for the Bears of 2015 recruiting class and Chris Johnson from Bryan was first for 2013 class.
Smith threw for 2,703 yards with 31 touchdowns as a sophomore in 2013 for the Zebras.
