Baylor receives commit from Abilene Wylie LB Johnston

Abilene Wylie linebacker Clay Johnston committed to Baylor on Tuesday night, sharing the news via Twitter.

Johnston becomes the Bears’ 11th commit for 2015. He had 136 tackles as a junior, including 31 tackles for loss.

A conversation with Baylor head coach Art Briles on Tuesday was the decision-maker according to Johnston.

“I just love his passion and he and I have the same vision.” he said.

“I just believe Baylor is going to win a National Championship and I want to be a part of that with Coach Briles,” he added. “He’s not only turned around the Baylor program but he isn’t satisfied. He wants more and so do I.”
