Baylor is on the cover of the summer edition of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine for the first time since 1975.

DCTF managing editor Greg Tepper tweeted about the new cover.

“As I said, the cover was, in my view, a slam-dunk. The cover is the biggest story in Texas, and right now, that’s Baylor. We shot the cover in early April, and the folks at Baylor couldn’t have been better to work with. Made for an unusually smooth process.

The photo is shot by the great Diana Porter, who absolutely hit it out of the park. The perfect image, exactly what we were going for.

Art Briles was absolutely over the moon about being on the cover. Said he’d rather be on DCTF than Sports Illustrated. The photo shoot was the first time Briles, Petty or Goodley had been in the new stadium. Some inside photos capture their reactions.

The magazine is truly a labor of love. Four months, 400 pages. Exhausting, but I’m very proud of it. I hope you’ll consider getting one.”
