AUSTIN – The Austin Aztex invite the entire community to a free watch party for the United States World Cup match against Belgium on Tuesday, July 1. The event also hosted by the Office of Council Member Mike Martinez and Clear Channel Media & Entertainment takes place at the Long Center in Austin.
“With July 4th approaching and the United States advancing in the FIFA World Cup, this event will give us a perfect opportunity to come together as a community and celebrate our country,” said Council Member Martinez.
The event is free and open to the public. Gates will open at 2:00 p.m., with the United States match against Belgium available for viewing on jumbotrons starting at 3:00 .pm. Food and beverages will be available for purchase onsite and all are welcome.

With the recent announcement of the Austin Aztex entering the USL Professional soccer ranks starting next season in 2015, Austin is poised to take the next step in becoming an even bigger soccer city. The Aztex are currently undefeated this season with only 3 home games left.
