Sam Powers takes All-Around Cowboy title at 2014 Belton 4th Of July PRCA Rodeo, Final Results

IMG_5268BELTON – Sam Powers won the All-Around Cowboy championship while competing in tie-down roping and steer wrestling at the Belton Chamber of Commerce 2014 Fourth of July Celebration and PRCA Rodeo on Saturday night at the Bell County Expo Center. The cowboy from Sonora earned $1,010 and placed second in the tie-down roping competition.

Theresa Turbeville from Scurry won the barrel-racing event with a time of 16.40 seconds.

Meanwhile, the teams of Jake Orman/Zack Bocco and Rowdy Rieken/Clay Sieber tied to share the team roping title with a time of 6.1 seconds, earning a payoff of $1,024 each.

In tie-down roping, Cody Saculla of Bryan claimed the title with a time of 8.4 seconds while Jarret New won the steer wrestling event with a time of 4.7 seconds.

Kobyn Williams took the saddle bronc riding title with a score of 75 points on Lancaster & Pickett Pro Rodeo’s Holly Bucks while Steven Anding won the bareback riding event with a score of 84 points on Lancaster & Pickett Pro Rodeo’s Red Ryder.
