Baylor’s Trayvon Bromell Helps U.S. Win World Junior Championships Title

EUGENE, Ore. – Baylor track and field freshman Trayvon Bromell ran the second leg on the United States’ gold-medal winning 4×100-meter relay team that posted a 38.70 on Saturday at the IAAF World Junior Championships at Hayward Field.

Bromell helped his United States comrades run a time that was better than any times a Baylor 4×100-meter relay team ran in 2014.

“Tonight was a great way to cap off Trayvon’s freshman season,” associate coach Michael Ford said. “Bringing a gold medal back to Baylor, Waco and St. Petersburg is special. Trayvon ran a great second leg and closed out his awesome track season well.”
