CORSICANA — Sophomore Austin Collins caught three touchdown passes from quarterbacks Carson Earp and Bivins Carraway, and sophomore running back Keaun Kinner rushed for three touchdowns as No. 8 Navarro defeated No. 5 Georgia Military at Tiger Stadium in Corsicana on Saturday.
Navarro withstood five lost fumbles – including four deep in its territory during the second half – to secure its 10th straight win over GMC in a 16-game series dating back to 1991.
GMC cashed some turnovers into quick points and stormed back from a 29-6 halftime deficit within six points (36-30) with 6:41 left before Collins and Kinner made final big scoring plays. A total of 24 GMC points came via Navarro turnovers.
