BELTON – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s golfer McKenzie Ralston‘s record-setting performance earlier this week has earned her American Southwest Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week honors.

This is the second golfer of the week honor for Ralston this fall.

The senior from Temple High School fired three consecutive school-record low rounds at the Houston-Victoria Fall Classic earlier this week. Ralston fired back-to-back 69’s on Monday and closed out the tournament with a final round 68 on Tuesday. All three rounds bested the previous school-record low round. Ralston’s 54-hole total of 206 also broke the previous UMHB three-round best by 19 strokes. Ralston finished second individually in the tournament and posted the best finish by a non-scholarship player in the event. Her play helped lead the Cru women to a second-place team finish and UMHB set another school record with a program best final round of 287.

The Cru will return to action with the Alamo City Classic in San Antonio. That tournament will be played at The Quarry Golf Club on October 20th and 21st.
