DALLAS – The Tarleton State women’s golf team shot 25-over par on the second day of the Dallas Baptist Women’s Classic to finish in a tie for fifth place at 617 for the tournament.

After shooting a 304 yesterday in high-wind conditions, Tarleton State shot 313 Tuesday afternoon with only Beatriz Prados (73) and Isabel Jimenez-Perea (75) posting scores below 80. Prados’ 73 matched her day one total and gave her a No. 3 finish in the overall individual standings with a tournament total score of 146.

Jimenez-Perea also posted a consistent score of 75 both days for a tournament total of 150, which placed her in a tie for eighth-place in the overall individual standings.

Casey Wild shot an 80 Tuesday afternoon after posting a 76 Monday and Sarah Gee shot an 85 Tuesday after shooting an 80 yesterday. Whitney Uselton improved on her day-one score of 89 with a one-stroke improvement of 88 Tuesday.

Tarleton State will finish up the fall season on Oct. 20-21 when the TexAnns head to Oklahoma to take part in the Oklahoma Classic at Cameron at Fort Sill Golf Club.
