southwesternvb14_Robb_-5-SAN ANTONIO – In their final tune up before returning to conference action, the Southwestern volleyball team defeated Our Lady of the Lake 3-1 on Thursday night.

The Pirates started strong as they have all year and easily won the first set 25-18. An extended second set saw Southwestern out last the Saints, winning 28-26.

OLLU felt victory slip from their grasp and came back to win the third set 25-19. The Pirates rebounded to close out the match with a 25-23 set four win.

Southwestern hit .187 as a team and was led by Abbie Robb who had 14 kills and a .273 attack percentage. Kirby Kincannon and Macey Pool had nine kills each also in the win. Pool led the Pirates with 16 digs and Kaitlyn Corbett added 15.

SU improves to 18-8 on the year and returns to SCAC conference action this weekend, first facing the University of Dallas and Centenary College on Saturday.
