PFLUGERVILLE – The Temple Boys Cross Country team fell one spot short of advancing to the Regional Meet on Thursday as the team placed 4th at the District 17-5A Championships.

However, Temple would have a pair of runners advancing to the regional meet based on their outstanding performances individually on Thursday. Israel De La Fuente and Holden Diserens placed in the Top 10 overall to punch their ticket to the regional meet at Atascocita High School on November 1st.

De La Fuente took second place overall in the varsity boys division running the course in 16:47. Diserens finished the course in a tight pack of runners in a time of 17:04 which was good enough for an 8th place finish overall.

Corey Jonason was the next runner for Temple in 19th place finishing in 17:40.

The remainder of the team included; Wesley Johnson 25th (18:00); Jose Garcia (18:18); Treyce Bailey 31st (18:44) and Alan Lyles 38th (20:03).

Carlos Crisanto led the junior varsity team by taking 11th overall in a time of 18:41. Michael Cox and John Utterback finished 23rd and 25th respectively.
