Navarro College running back Ke’aun Kinner was named the 2014 Spalding NJCAA Offensive Football Player of The Year on Thursday.
Kinner was the NJCAA’s most productive running back with 1,696 rushing yards on 253 carries and 22 rushing touchdowns along with 19 catches for 109 receiving yards. The SWJCFC Most Valuable Player averaged a Navarro College-record 169.6 rushing yards per game.
The Little Elm, Texas, sophomore on Wednesday signed a national letter of intent to attend Kansas University and play for the Jayhawks.
Kinner’s 2014 totals of 253 carries, 1696 yards, and 22 touchdowns all rank 2nd behind Tim Wright in Navarro College’s all-time single-season records.
For his two-year career, Kinner’s totals are 1,918 rushing yards on 277 carries with 26 touchdowns. In career marks, he ranks third in rushing and shares the school’s rushing touchdown record.
