Wildcat Soccer drops pair at Brenham tourney

templewildcatslogoBRENHAM – The Temple boys soccer team dropped a pair of games in the Brenham tournament on Friday. Temple (2-3-2) fell to Nederland 4-1 and Clute Brazoswood 3-1.

In the first game of the day, Nederland scored two goals in the first 10 minutes of the game to force the Wildcats to play from behind. Temple countered with its lone goal of the day when Michael Wagaman scored off a header set up on the assist from Ryan Snow.

For Temple, the second game was much like the first as the Wildcats gave up two goals in the first six minutes. Simon Sandvol found the net for the lone Wildcat goal.

Temple closes the tournament on Saturday with a pair of games, Brookshire Royal at 9 a.m. and Langham Creek at 1 p.m.
