WACO – No. 3 Baylor stretched its winning streak to 16 games in a 75-58 rout of 8th-ranked Texas at the Ferrell Center in Waco on Monday night.
Nina Davis scored 25 points and Niya Johnson added 15 points with 12 assists as the Lady Bears (17-1, 6-0 Big 12) handed the Lady Longhorns their third loss in their past four games and lost leading scorer and rebounder Nneka Enemkpali with a left knee injury while grabbing an offensive rebound in the first half.
Monday night’s attendance of 8,894 was a season-high for the Baylor, surpassing the 6,403 that attended the Oklahoma State game on Jan. 3, 2015.
Baylor hosts Kansas State Saturday at 11 a.m. CT on FSSW and ESPN Central Texas.
