(TheFlashToday) — Stephenville took care of business in Graham Tuesday evening, and also learned its first-round playoff opponent.

Bayleigh Chaviers scored 14  and Cassidy Cine 13 for the Honeybees, who forced Graham into 31 turnovers and defeated the Lady Blues 59-38. The victory left the Honeybees tied alongside Brownwood for second in District 6-4A.

Brownwood won the coin flip for playoff seeding, and Stephenville opens state playoff competition against 5-4A runner-up Vernon at 6 p.m. Monday at Breckenridge High School.

Stephenville trailed in the early going, but outscored Graham 46-19 over the second and third periods, making the fourth merely a formality. The Bees were an impressive 19-22 from the foul stripe and had just 10 turnovers over the opening three quarters.

Kali Smith scored nine for Stephenville, Bethanie Bouchey seven, Lyndi Graham five, Pack four, Skylar Chipman two and Mikayla Hobbs one.
