After opening the season with a 50-14 home loss to the Rio Grande Valley Cheetahs, the Inferno look to get the franchise’s first win Saturday against the Divas, 86-12 losers to defending Ultimate Women’s Football champion San Antonio Texas Legacy last week.
“We are definitely going to bring it, we know what to do on defense, we got to secure our offense now, make sure we got all our outlet players in the right spot where we need them to be, I think next game we’re definitely going to turn it around.” Inferno running back Missy Bourque said.
“We’re a new team and we’re all coming together, this is some of our girls’ first time playing, so as the season continues to go we will continue to grow together and do better,” Robertson said.
“I think we’ll do well, it’s all about execution. Knowing our assignments and doing what we are supposed to do on the field,” Inferno receiver/defensive end Janelle Guy said.
Some bad snaps and fumbles plagued the Inferno offense against RGV, but the team believes those errors are fixed.
“We just need to communicate better on the field, we have a lot of potential, we’re a brand new team to the league and we have a lot of talent, we’re going to do well,” Inferno receiver Kathryn Looney said.
