McLennan Community College golfer Mathias Lorentzen has been named the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Men’s Golf Player of the Week for Sept. 3-9.
MESA, Arizona – The McLennan Highlassies finished in fourth place with 322-319-318-316 – 1,275 at the NJCAA Women’s Golf Championships at the par-72, 6,155-yard Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona.
NEWTON, Kansas – The McLennan Highlanders sit in third place with 293-297-280 – 870 after three rounds of the NJCAA Men’s Golf Division I National Championships at the par-72, 7,359-yard Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton, Kansas.
WACO – McLennan Community College golfer Hunter Shattuck, a sophomore from Bullard, was named to the District II All-District Team and All-American Honorable Mention team by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

ABILENE – The McLennan Highlanders defeated the Odessa Wranglers 8 1/2 to 3 1/2 today in the Subway Cup, the sixth annual men’s golf dual match, at the Diamondback Golf Club in Abilene.
WACO – The McLennan Blue team shot 289 and the McLennan Orange team shot 296 to sit in first and third place, respectively, after day one of the Dr Pepper Classic held at the Twin Rivers Golf Club.

JONESBORO, Ark. – The McLennan Highlassies shot 311-320 − 631 to finish in fifth place of the Lady Red Wolf Classic at the par-72, 6,138-yard Sage Meadows Country Club in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
NEWTON, Kan. – The McLennan Highlanders shot 299-313-313 − 925 to finish in seventh place of the NJCAA National Championship Preview at the par-72, 6,599-yard Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton, Kansas.
